Colors

Ten basic colors, all ordinary adjectives — they sit in front of the noun and never change shape.

• qızğıldım pink, rosy
• kimit violet, purple

qara is black and also "dark"; qızıl is the red of the flag. mor covers brown, where Turkish uses its word for "coffee-colored".
