Definition
dim figure, an indistinct figure seen at a distance or in poor light, a shape whose identity cannot yet be made out — TSKBYA marks the entry къарач. The word covers a living figure and an inanimate shape alike, including a dummy set up to frighten (Хубийланы О., Дерт, 240), so no separate sense is cut for the latter.

The overlap in the last rows is real, not a mistake: qaranthaları can mean "his / her dim figures", "their dim figure", or "their dim figures" — context decides.
