1. scarlet fever; the contagious illness, mostly of children, that inflames the throat and reddens the skin — асма таш, an amulet stone, was worn round the neck to keep the illness off; асма тийсин! is a curse.

The overlap in the last rows is real, not a mistake: asmaları can mean "his / her scarlet fevers", "their scarlet fever", or "their scarlet fevers" — context decides.
