Definitions
1. a fishing hook, and the rod and line rigged with it
- qarmaq bla çabaq tutarğa — to catch fish with a rod
- qarmaq salırğa — to cast a line
- jaşla qarmaqla bla çabaq tutadıla — the boys are catching fish with rods
2. a grapple with a bent end, used to search for or draw up something sunk in water
- qarmaq bla suwdan çığarırğa — to draw something out of the water with a grapple
- temir qarmaq — an iron grapple

The overlap in the last rows is real, not a mistake: qarmaqları can mean "his / her hooks", "their hook", or "their hooks" — context decides.
