slit, vent, or opening in a garment, made to make it easier to put on; tear — Used of coats, trousers, shirts and the like. A saying about a poor man: şhuwrğa qurmaçı, eteginde jırmaçı "his food is fried corn, and his coat skirt is torn". Before another noun, or as jırmaçı bolğan or jırmaçlı, it describes clothing as slit or having a vent.
