A solemn collective vow of solidarity, sworn by passing beneath a staff held aloft, in an old ancestral rite.

Malqarlıla, bu mında [zonada] jürügen artıqlıqğa mından arı çıdayalmay, biz bitew tayaq ant eterge onowlaşabız.Balkars, being unable to endure any longer the oppression that goes on here [in the zone], we resolve to swear the staff oath all together.
