/quran bla ant eterɡe/
Literal translation
to make an oath with the Quran

To take a solemn, binding oath in the name of God, pledging that what one says is true.
- Aldan, jalğan ant etgeni üçün, köberik bolur dep turub, Toğuzaqnı bir da köber japısı bolmay, efendini tuwrasına olturğanında, ellileni bir qawumu, qayğılı bolub, qıçırıb tebiredile: – Quran bla ant emegendi, kitap bla etgendi, ansı köpmey nek qalğandı?! Efendi qurannı bersin!Expecting that he would swell up for having sworn a deceitful, false oath, and seeing Togъuzaq sit down in front of the efendi without the least sign of swelling, some of the villagers grew alarmed and began to shout: "He did not swear on the Quran, he swore on a [plain] book — otherwise why has he not swollen up?! Let the efendi hand over the Quran!"
