to make (two people) take each other's hand

To bring two people who have fallen out back into good relations; to make peace between them.

Bolsa da, halq jıyılıb, elni ahşısı, elni biyi ekisin da [Biysoltannı bla Nawruznu] qol tutdurdula.Even so, the people gathered, and the village's leading man and the village's prince made the two of them [Biysoltan and Nauruz] shake hands.
