A woman who has no children, or who is unable to have any; said of a man in the киши variant.
- Beşinçi jılları baradı. Qaraton qatınsa dep, qıyınlığa jaşaw bermeydile, haripge.Her fifth year is going by. Calling her a barren woman, they give the poor unfortunate no peace.
