To be extremely fond of someone and hold them dear, indulging them in everything.

Ol qart kişi alağa [qızlağa] qayda tübese da, birça tizginli jürüşü, turuşu da adamnı kölün kesine tarta, közge tüşse, uwub atmazça körüne edi.Wherever that old man met them [the girls], his always orderly gait and bearing drew people's hearts to him; he seemed like someone you would not rub out even if he got into your eye.
Közlerine çöp bolub tüşse da, uwmazlıq üyde anı [Kuçeneyni] alay terk öçülgenine jarsıy edile.In the house that would not have rubbed him out even had he fallen into their eyes as a speck, they grieved that he [Kuchenei] had been snuffed out so quickly.
