the one whose eye has come out dreads an ill omen for his eyebrow
Intended meaning
A call not to voice bad forebodings, spoken in words of condolence: someone who has already suffered a loss lives in fear for whatever is left to them.
- Endi qalğanlarıŋa Allah jaşaw bersin, közü çıqğan qaşına ırıslaydı deydile.May God grant life now to those of yours who remain — they say that one whose eye is gone dreads for his eyebrow.
