Literal translation

I will not wear a cap on my head

I will forfeit my standing as a man; said in an oath, binding the speaker to disgrace himself if he fails to do what he swears.

«Men andan [Aqsaq Temirden] atamı qanın almasam, başıma börk kiymem!» – dep, [Sozar] ant etgendi."If I do not avenge my father's blood on him [Aqsaq Temir], I will wear no cap on my head!" – so [Sozar] swore.
