upright, vertically, on end; reared up — Used with tur "stand": honku tur means stand upright or on end, the same as şiş tur. Said of a thrown knucklebone landing on end, or of a horse rearing on its hind legs.
- jaşçıqnı athan aşığı honku turdu — the knucklebone the little boy threw stood on end
- at honku turub kişnedi — the horse reared up and neighed
- seni aşığıŋ honku turmadı — your knucklebone did not land on end
