1. oh no!, good heavens!, oh dear! (expressing indignation or flat objection) — Usually said three times over (hay hay hay). Can be a flat refusal of what has just been said as well as a protest, as in hay hay hay allah saqlasın "God forbid!".

2. my word!, well I never!, oh my! (expressing admiration or great surprise) — Usually said three times over, in reaction to something striking, as in hay hay hay ne omaqsa "my, how smart you look!".

- hay-hay-hay, ne ariwsa! — oh my, how beautiful you are!
