Balkar word
straw put back into traditional mountain footwear as padding — Same meaning as midel. Tenishev and Suyunchev 1989 marks it Balkar, and Guzeev 1996–2005 marks it as a dialect word. It is used of the straw showing out of worn rawhide shoes (çabır).
